RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump Threatens to Prosecute Anyone ‘Cheating’ in Election

RNC co-Chair Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former president Donald Trump who is currently facing multiple charges related to efforts to overturn the last election, vowed to “track down” and prosecute anyone “cheating” in the upcoming November presidential election.

Trump made the promise on Friday during an interview with Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk at the organization’s convention in Dallas, Michigan. Trump has been a huge proponent of her father-in-law’s claim of election fraud in the 2020 election.

She also discussed the RNC’s efforts to mobilize thousands of “election integrity” watchdogs to monitor poll workers and ballot offices as well as create hotlines for individuals to report problems. Some have criticized the efforts because it may lead to harassment of election workers.

“This year is the year we do it,” Trump said. “We are also sending a loud and clear message out there to anyone who thinks about cheating in an election, we will find you, we will track you down and we will prosecute you to the full extent of the law.”

“What we need to ensure is integrity in our electoral process,” she added. “We can never go back and repeat 2020, but we can learn the lessons from 2020.”
