Calif. Prison Teacher Arrested, Allegedly Helped Three Inmates Escape

Authorities say a teacher has been arrested on suspicion of helping three inmates — including an alleged killer — escape from a maximum-security jail in Southern California

“In the last hour investigators have made a significant arrest connected to the escape investigation. Nooshafarinn Ravaghi, a 44-year old resident of Lake Forest has been arrested. It is believed that Ravaghi directly contributed to the escape of the three inmates and provided critical planning tools that aided in their preparation for the escape. We have confirmed that Nayeri did in fact attend several of Ravaghi’s ESL classes. However, we’ll continue to investigate the extent of their relationship.

At this point, there’s no confirmation that she brought tools into the jail. She is denying having brought the tools, but what we do know is that she provided Google Maps, those types of things to prepare for the escape.

I don’t know exactly how it helped, but it did. It provides an opportunity for somebody to take a look at the roof potentially and — and other areas around the facility. I don’t — I don’t have specifics, all I can tell you is it was a vehicle that was put--where an ad was place. Whether it was you know, Craig list or auto trader. Dong responded to that ad, did a test drive. In the course of that test drive the vehicle was not returned.“
