Mike Johnson: If Universities Cannot Keep Students Safe from Protesters Then They Don’t Deserve to Be Funded by Taxpayers

There’s a number of committees that touch on some element of this is not just the house, education and workforce committee, but it’s also judiciary, it’s ways and means it’s energy and commerce committee. It’s a science, space and technology. Some of the committees have jurisdiction over the grants that are given to these universities. They they collect billions of dollars, billions of dollars, There’s a lot of federal funding makes it’s way into these institutions and if they can not respect the most basic constitutional rights, the civil rights of their students and protect them, their safety, then they don’t deserve to be funded by the taxpayer.”
