Dan Senor: No Matter How Far Biden Goes in Appeasing Anti-Israel Protesters, It Will Never Be Enough
EXCERPT:
SENOR: "First of all, I think he's right. Bill is right here. President Biden, basically, I think, the turning point was right around when Israel was at a decision-making point on what to do about Rafah, going into southern Gaza, and Security Council resolution and the State of the Union address. That was kind of the period you started to see a really shift by the administration. The problem with the direction they are heading in is no matter how far they go, rhetorically, in the direction of where the protesters want them to go, they’ll never go far enough. They will never be able to mollify these protesters. And in the process of pandering to this part of the Democrats’ coalition, they’ll turn off a whole other segment of the electorate and do real damage to the United States. So, I think it’s a loser’s game that they are playing. They will never be able to win these people over. The people that are protesting are so irrational, so ill-informed and so knowingly destructive that the idea that you can win points with them to the point that you will calm them down by kind of signaling to them that you sort of agree with them is just completely foolish. I think the president needs to stop trying to pander to them and start confronting them."
