REID: “Let’s talk about the end game here, because one of the things they’re doing in the state of Arizona is attempting to make it harder for ballot initiatives to even be placed on the ballot in this state and other states, to make it harder to undo it. So the handmaid’s tale when you watch it, what’s amazing is how mundane the lead-up to it was. They simply passed laws to make it harder to stop the small minority of religious extremists from doing what they want. You have six members of the Supreme Court who say you don’t have that right. They also signal they’re coming for birth control. They think iuds are human pesticide. I’m not sure what else they have to do for Americans to understand, the end game is the handmaid’s tale.”
