Ben Carson: We Need to Get Back to What Made America Great
EXCERPT:
CARSON: “And the fact of the matter is, what made America exceptional, the fact that we had an atmosphere that rewarded people for doing things. That’s why the vast majority of inventions over the last couple of hundred years have come out of this country, and so many other things. And it just leads to silliness. You know, I’m the chairman of the nominating governor’s committee of a Fortune 500 company. And Glass Lewis recently said don’t vote for Carson because they only have 25 percent women on their board, because we added someone to the board which brought it down to 25 percent. Someone who had enormous qualifications. So, according to them, we should have gone looking for a woman to fill that spot rather than this person. And if they got rid of me, then they’d have a diversity problem. So it’s just craziness. And we need to get back to what made America great once again.”
