LEE: "Look, the Supreme Court has said it. Nancy Pelosi has said it. The rest of us acknowledge it. The president of the United States doesn’t have the authority unilaterally to go around canceling this many loans at once just at the stroke of the executive pen. And yet he defiantly persists, insisting that he will find ways to do what he already has been told he may not do under the law. This is someone who, yes, perhaps is motivated, as you astutely suggest, by election year politics. But ironically, this could end up backfiring on him and it should backfire on him, because this is lawless behavior. This is the sort of thing that should cause us all pause not to elect any leader willing to defy the law like this."
