PELOSI: “This isn’t the first time we’ve had to fight for our healthcare. During his first term, Trump was just one vote away from repeal, but because we held 10,000 grassroots events across the country where people and families told their powerful stories how ACA saved their lives, we prevailed and the ACA is still staying strong, ObamaCare. Now, Trump is trying again to terminate the ACA, and he won’t stop there. He wants to roll back our new law under President Biden’s leadership that lowers prescription drug prices for seniors. Meanwhile, House Republicans have unveiled a new budget proposal that would remove many of the ACA’s protections for existing conditions and lower ACA — and to lower ACA premiums that we delivered under president’s leadership. They want to move that and reverse our lower drug prices for seniors. We have no choice. We must win this election.”
