GOODMAN: “So, I don’t think it changes the baseline, which is that we might very well get the date of August 5 as the start. She was already ready to go to trial with others who instead decided to plead guilty. And so, August 5th might be the start date. Then in terms of the nuts and bolts, it’ll be about seating a jury. In the past, it has taken a long time in Georgia to seat a jury in a RICO case, but those — that other case was different. In this case, you might actually have the problem of people actually wanting to serve on the jury because it’s such an historic case, so that might go a little bit more quickly, but even by her own standards or what she has said or expectations, the trial will go until after the election. There will be a verdict after the election, even if she gets her start.”
