Renato Mariotti on Trump Hush Money Case: I Don’t See a ‘Basis for a Dismissal’
‘The real question is why did the Southern District of New York wait so long to dump 31,000 documents’
RUSH EXCERPT:
MARIOTTI: "I don’t see a basis for a dismissal. I do think though what the judge did was warranted with Alvin Bragg and his team did was warranted by saying that there has to be some delay to go through these documents. The real question is why did the Southern District of New York wait so long to dump 31,000 documents when they could have released them many months ago. I think there are a lot of questions about their judgment there. These are documents that the Manhattan da’s office has been seeking for many months. Originally the U.S. attorney’s office said they were not going to produce the documents."
