Melber: About 20% of Republicans Currently Oppose Trump for President in November
RUSH EXCERPT:
MELBER: "About 20% of Republicans currently opposed Trump for president in November. One in five Republican primary voters say that they do not want to vote for him as he is the nominee. That shows that Trump hasn’t won over his own party, even as opponents dropout. He’s in a weaker spot than most candidates on the path to nomination as he might be. The reasons are obvious. He has faced months of public damning evidence about his conduct, which is part of this for indictments. That turns of many Republicans as well as independents. Then there is that major fraud loss, which was a big story. These are not the things that they kept back over. The best Donald Trump headlines have come from horse race media, which sometimes seem to forget that the bar is different here. It is not some random race among unknown candidates. This is a former president. Former presidents or current presidents are supposed to handedly when their party’s nomination. Even this mixed picture on Saturday that I showed you the numbers on, showed you The Wall Street Journal response on was covered initially largely as a kind of crushing blow to Haley, whom he easily beat. Here’s the point, let’s truest fires that goes. Haley is losing this primary so far, including in her home state. To only use one prism and fixation on the nomination path, that expected victory might obscure trumps larger problems."
