Christopher Mattei: Colorado Judge’s Ruling that Trump Isn’t an Officer of the U.S. Is Likely to Be Viewed with ‘Skepticism’

MATTEI: "I think that an appellate court is likely to view that conclusion with some skepticism, as most of us would. If anybody is an officer of the United States, it would seem that the president would be. And if this ruling that he engaged in an insurrection is sound, I suspect that the Supreme Court of Colorado will look very very hard at whether or not he’s eligible to be a candidate for president in Colorado. These cases will have to wind their way up through various states in which they have been brought. Different states may set different schedules but at least with respect to Colorado, it seems that there will be a decision before January 5th."
