Jeb: I Support a Path to Legal Status

‘Saying ISIS isn’t a threat to our country is just incorrect’

VAN SUSTEREN: “All right. Let me ask you about that what I have asked all the candidates in the past few days, 12 million people estimated to be in the United States, and I’ve asked specifically you know, if you’re president what would you do with that 12 million? Anything or what? What’s the plan?”
BUSH: “For illegal immigration, you mean?”
VAN SUSTEREN: “Yes. Illegally here in the United States?”
BUSH: “Yeah. So, I had — I had a proposal for the last four years that hasn’t changed. The other candidates have bobbed and weaved and changed their plans. Mine is simply to say come out from the shadows, pay a fine, pay taxes, work, don’t receive any federal government assistance, learn English, don’t commit crimes, and over an extended period of time, 10 years, say, you would earn legal status. You would not earn a path to citizenship.”
