Kimberly Wehle on the DA Not Charging Additional Suspects in GA Case: They May Have Been Some Problems with the Evidence

‘The DA could have decided a number of things’

RUSH EXCERPT:

WEHLE: "Well, the d.a. could have decided a number of things. One is there could be some kind of immunity deals going on behind the scenes with some of these people that we’re not aware of. It could be that she or the the actual grand jury that did the indictment, which, as you indicated, is different Grand jury decided there wasn’t enough evidence to justify an indictment because, remember, it’s a very high standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. They don’t have to prove that to a grand jury. But are looking ahead to that. There might be some problems with the evidence against certain people. And then the third could be something along the lines of these sort of federal state tug of war. We’re seeing with Mark Meadows, for example, this idea that certain stuff should stay in the federal sphere and not in the in the state, go to, you know, to a certain state grand jury, given that this involved the president, United States. But it’s it’s impossible to tell. But I do think it demonstrates that this is not a grand jury that’s run amok and out of control, the criminal grandeur."
