RFK Jr.: ‘I’m Seeing People Very Worried in this Country About the Deterioration of the Middle Class’

‘I have seven kids, they range between 20 and 30, almost none of their friends own homes’

EXCERPT:

KENNEDY JR.: “And I was disappointed in the Republican debate because nobody was really — they played this as kind of an homage at the beginning of the debate. But nobody really hit on these issues that I’m seeing. I have constituencies that are supporting me that are overlapping with a lot of the Republicans. You know, I go across the political spectrum. I’m seeing people very worried in this country about the deterioration of the middle class, and the despondency, the grief, the desperation. I have seven kids, in an age range between — essentially, between 20 and 30. Almost none of their friends own homes. And they don’t expect to. The price of housing in this country has gone from $215,000 two years ago to $400,000 today. And the interest rates have gone up from 1 point to 7 points. And that means that houses are 10 times expensive. Why is that happening?”
