Gasparino: 3% Inflation Is a Decent Number But It’s Still Above 2% Target

GASPARINO: "Inflation is still high. Even today we had a decent number, I believe 3% CPI print and it’s better than it was, it’s still above the target of 2%. It still means the Fed is going to raise rates later this month by another basis point. And, you know, here is Bidenomics: You spend a ton of money that you shouldn't have spent, you push the Fed to keep interest rates low, lots of liquidity in your markets, which is bad, you cause inflation that you didn’t need, and then you have to put the brakes on the economy trying to jam it shut, you know, to kill the inflation, and you could cause a recession. Now, it’s a big gamble because he just labeled what’s going on as something with his name in it and I could turn out really bad if we have a steep or a moderate recession, which we might because they’re still going to have to raise interest rates."
