Fox News: United Auto Workers Union Slams Biden’s EV Plan

VAUGHN: “Sandra, this auto workers union wants Biden to pump the brakes on his effort to go green. They say that his plan to make two thirds of every new vehicle over the next nine years completely electric would put a lot of them out of work. The United Auto Workers union, which represents GM, Ford, and Chrysler’s parent company Stellantis, says they worry that EV factories will not employ as many people because electric cars are simpler to build with fewer parts. They also worry that they will not make as much working in those factories. The UAW warning that Biden’s aggressive timeline to go green could disrupt the entire automotive industry. The UAW president also blasting President Biden’s government subsidies to car companies to encourage EV production in the U.S., saying this: ‘We have been absolutely clear that the switch to electric engine jobs, battery production and other EV manufacturing cannot become a race to the bottom. Why is Joe Biden’s administration facilitating this corporate greed with taxpayer money?’ And now, 25 state attorneys general are pushing Biden to put his emissions plan in reverse.”
