Steve Hilton Defines GOP Nominees: ‘We Don’t Know’ if DeSantis Is ‘Actually Interested with the Economy’

‘ — or just fighting a nonstop culture war’

EXCERPT:

HILTON: “So, are we seeing any interesting arguments from the other candidates this time? From Larry Elder, absolutely. You saw it here a couple weeks ago, his focus on absent fathers, family breakdown and fighting the left's smear that America is a racist country. That is interesting. It is worth a hearing. On the other hand, Nikki Haley's main argument seems to be that she is just the right age, while Tim Scott’s message, at least so far, is, 'Vote for me, I'm really nice.' Then there is former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, and I honestly couldn't tell you what he's saying or why he is in the race at all, except for to go on CNN and NBC where they endlessly suck up to him as exactly the kind of Republican the country needs. Okay. Ron DeSantis, no question about his record governing a state, but many questions about his plan for the country. We still don't know where he stands on the Ukraine war. And we don’t know if he’s actually interested in the economy or just fighting a non-stop culture war.”
