Larry Elder: Reparations Are Causing Blacks to Demand Things... It’s ‘Absurd’

ELDER: “A young black man aged 10-43 is 13 times more likely to be murdered than a young white male, same demo. Now, unless you’re prepared to say blacks are genetically inclined to commit crime, you have to ask yourself, what’s going on? And what is going on is, as I said before, the epidemic of fatherlessness. We don't talk enough about that. So it's just a huge, huge lie. It’s pitting people against each other. It’s causing blacks to demand things, to think that they are victims, for whites to think that they are oppressive. That's why we're having this ridiculous conversation about reparations. It’s absurd that somebody owes me something because of something somebody else did to my ancestors. I mean, that we are even talking about this to me is just amazing."
