Hasan: ‘For God’s Sake, Ban the Damn AR-15’

HASAN: “We are the only country in the world where the number of civilian guns is higher than the number of civilians living in that country. So when you recognize the undeniable reality that it's the guns, then you can also recognize that one group of people, the Republican Party and their backers over at the NRA and Fox, one group of people is responsible, politically and morally, for these ongoing gun massacres, the ongoing killing of our kids. Let’s stop saying Congress must act and start saying the Republican Party must act. Let’s stop treating the GOP as the party of law and order and treat them more accurately as the party of gun violence, of school shootings, of mall massacres. And let’s work to ban assault weapons right now. For God's sake, ban the damn AR-15."
