Dem Rep. Jamaal Bowman: ‘Donald Trump Is the Thug!; ‘He Admitted to Sexually Assaulting Women!’

BOWMAN: “Donald Trump is the thug! Donald Trump is the thug. He admitted on video — excuse, me he was being recorded and didn’t know he was being recorded — he admitted to sexually assaulting women! He is a man that has engaged in business practices that have been criminal, where he’s had to shut down Trump University after raising all kinds of money. He doesn’t pay his taxes. He incited an an insurrection! He is a thug! To quote your colleague Mehdi Hasan, every accusation by the GOP is a confession. That is who he is, and that is who they have been. Banning books, attacks on the trans community, cutting Medicare, cutting Social Security, doing nothing about guns. Their thuggish behavior leads to the death of people. Republican-led counties across the country are counties with the highest rates of death in our nation. Also, I want to mention gun trafficking. The guns that come into places like New York come from Republican-led states! We actually know who the traffickers are. We know who the gun owners are, and we are not doing nothing about it. This is inaction from a legislative perspective, but also from a procedural an collaboration perspective, because out of the 70,000 law enforcement agencies in our country, only 7,000 actually track firearm incidents. 10,000 do not! And they can do it just by simply entering it into a computer, but they’re choosing not to. The crisis is multilayered.”
