RCP's Phil Wegmann asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at Wednesday's briefing to comment on whether the attack last week on a Christian school in Tennessee should be considered a hate crime, and also about Indiana's new law banning puberty blockers for transgender people under 18.

Jean-Pierre said it is not up to the White House whether to consider the attack a hate crime against Christians and said it should be up to families and doctors to determine when a person is ready for transgender therapies or surgeries.
