There’s this idea that it’s a kind of hyper originalism where if you follow the text of the founding and read the federalist papers, you’ll have all the answers. What’s ridiculous about it is that it pretends that hamilton and Madison and Jefferson agreed with each other most of the time on what was important and laid this groundwork that was crystal clear about how we should run the government and how we should deal with problems that they may not have even ever imagined.”
