The Chris Salcedo Show Preamble: It’s Not About Unity

‘The Republican Party through laziness, apathy and irresponsibility has failed to adopt unifying principles that will move that party forward’

EXCERPT:

SALCEDO: “The United States is still without a speaker, third in line to the presidency, but momentum is shifting Kevin McCarthy’s way. I’ve been enjoying this first bit of transparency from our government that I’ve seen in years. The process has been educational and revealing. I’ve not taken a position on the Speaker's race, only to say that I prefer the most conservative speaker possible. Because I’m a conservative. I’ve also told everyone who will listen to me why we’re seeing what we’re seeing. The simple undeniable truth is, is that the Republican Party, through laziness, apathy and irresponsibility, has failed to adopt unifying principles that will move that party forward. In other words, the GOP tries to stand for everything, even for Democrats, and in so doing it means it stands for nothing. It’s not about unity — that’s the conclusion I have arrived at in today’s preamble.”
