Robby Soave: I Don’t Think There Was a ‘Planned Insurrection’ on Jan. 6th

‘I think that is very concerning’

EXCERPT:

SOAVE: "Well, look, it's important for the voters to know this, what he said and what he did. I don’t think it was a planned insurrection. I don't think you can impute enough to his previous actions making enough sense to add up to something deliberate. What I saw when I was there covering it was a riot that got out of hand based on the things Trump said in the moment that were wrong and, again, he should be held accountable from the voters for that. But the media and elites want to take that decision away from people and they want to focus on — and you know, it does fit into a concern a lot of conservatives have about law enforcement and the FBI, DHS, etc. being out to get Trump. You know, on a different subject, we're seeing all these communications between these agents and social media companies, what they should be allowed to say. I think it's very concerning, these decisions being taken out of the hands of the people, happening behind closed doors by unelected bureaucrats who were actually in Trump's own, technically, administration, operating 100% independently from him. I think that could be a bipartisan issue."
