EPSTEIN: “I’m laughing at it, but fission is a tragedy. In the 70s we had fission that was producing low level clean electricity. And the green movement, including much of the political left criminalized it. The nuclear regulatory commission that came out in 1975, not one nuclear plants has gone from conception to completion. The cost has gone up by a factor of 10. The nuclear policy is such an embarrassment. I consider that offensive not to support fission in the future. It’s going to be interesting in the future if fusion does pan out.”
