SCARBOROUGH: “I just wanted to ask -- ask Peter Baker about the other side. Peter, you know, we've been talking all morning. Well, hell, I've been talking for six years about a Republican Party that is -- is playing a game of subtraction instead of a game of addition in politics, which is, of course, something you never want to do. But we're just so flummoxed by what's happening in the House, what Kevin McCarthy is putting out there. They're talking about investigating how insurrectionists on January the sixth, rioters, some would say terrorists on January the sixth are being treated, they're choosing to -- to -- to make that one of their causes. They're -- they're talking about investigating the investigators again. Again, this is a -- this is the Republican Party that got crushed by expectations.”
