EXCERPT:
TIRRELL: “Pfizer saying that its vaccine for kids under 5 has met the goals of its clinical trial in terms of the immune response and safety and that they plan to file this now three-dose vaccine with the FDA this week. They also have some preliminary efficacy data in there. They say 80 percent protection was provided by three doses against symptomatic Covid in this period when Omicron was the predominantly circulating variant. The safety profile they said was similar to the placebo. In terms of that 80 percent number, that's preliminary based on about 10 cases that they saw on the trial, they need 21 to really call it final so that could get updated.”
