GOP Congressman Kustoff: ‘Even the Most Moderate Members’ of Congress Don’t Want to See BBB Passed

‘They understand that we cannot sustain, as a nation, this massive influx of cash and spending that the government, that the Biden Administration keeps proposing’

EXCERPT:

KUSTOFF: "Yeah, I think from the Republican side, we are unified. Even the most moderate members of the House of Representatives and the Senate don’t want to see this. They understand that we cannot sustain, as a nation, this massive influx of cash and spending that the government, that the Biden Administration keeps proposing. And, you know, the Biden argument that we have heard over and over again when you see Jen Psaki look in the camera and say, 'If we pass Build Back Better, then it’s actually going to lower inflation, it'll reduce inflation,' which is counterintuitive, it doesn’t make any sense, it’s not logical, and people who watch her press briefings, if they're watching it, they get it. So Republicans are unified against the spending. I think the real question is, are there enough Democrats — if, in fact, they try to break this up into pieces — that can be peeled off? And as we get closer to the election, and this is an election year, these big bills, they become harder for the Democrats to pass. And I think at this time I believe it becomes problematic for them to try to push it through, but we have to continue to fight and continue to push back."
