PORTER: "In California, we know firsthand the urgent need to take bold action on climate. There were two major wildfires in the district that I represent last year, and across our state, we are seeing year after year of record-breaking fire seasons that are taking lives, they are devastating livelihoods and they are exhausting the current firefighting tools and technology that we have. So, it is past time to put people and our planet before polluters and profits."
