Defense Attorney: Judge Schroeder Was Right to Ban MSNBC from Rittenhouse Trial, ‘Jurors Need to Feel Safe’
‘They’re the ones with the front row seats to the evidence, not the angry mob outside’
RUSH EXCERPT:
SPILBOR: “It is a sad and number one question from clients is how do I get out of jury duty it is not just because people don’t want to sit in a trial for $15 a day and things that nancy brought up sometimes you don’t feel safe as a juror if you’re in a high profile case like this. And jurors need to feel safe in order for our system of justice to continue to work, jurors need to feel safe that the community outside the courthouse is going to respect their verdict regardless of what it is and that their house won’t burn dun and community isn’t going to burn down for whatever decision they make because they’re ones with the front row seats to the evidence, not the angry mob outside.”
