As a teacher of middle level learners, the wonders of science for over 30 years, I have been very clear. Follow the science. Listen to the infectious disease experts and work in collaboration with educators and parents and community members and health care officials to do what’s right for our students. It is unacceptable that we are having a debate about whether to wear masks. It is not about a right. It is about a responsibility. And we know that wearing masks is an important, absolutely important, necessary strategy to keep our students safe.”
