Tucker Carlson: ‘When I Was a Kid You Weren’t Supposed to Grow up To Be Eric Swalwell’

‘You were supposed to grow up to be a man and not be afraid of everything’

EXCERPT:

CARLSON: “You know, the country has really changed. I mean, I’m not that old, I’m 52. And when I was a kid, you know, you weren’t supposed to kind of grow up to be Eric Swalwell. You were supposed to grow up to be a man -- (Laughter) -- and not be afraid of everything. You know, don’t be a wuss. Father said that. That wasn’t embarrassing to say that. And one of the ways they kind of trained you to have some emotional self-control and understand risk, assess risk was by giving you toys that could potentially hurt you. You know, probably wouldn’t but maybe they could so you had to kind of pay attention. You know, not -- the country wasn’t controlled by, you know, neurotic people to the extent that it is now and I think it was a lot healthier and happier place.”
