Fox News: Colonial Pipeline Cyber Attack Caused By Eastern European Based Criminal Gang, Could Affect Gas Prices
EXCERPT:
EMANUEL: "New details emerging about the cyber-attack on one of the country’s largest fuel pipelines. There are now reports the attack came from an eastern European-based criminal gang. Welcome to Fox News live, Happy Mother’s Day, I’m Mike Emanuel. Colonial Pipeline is now working with the federal government to restore operations. The shutdown is not expected to affect gas supply or prices unless they can’t get it running again soon. Griff Jenkins is following this developing story. Good afternoon, Griff."
JENKINS: "Good afternoon, Mike. The FBI, DHS, the Department of Energy all investigating this, as well as the government’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, but no one is confirming the identity of these cyber-attackers or saying what it is that they are demanding. As worries over a prolonged disruption to supply mounts, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is sounding the alarm."
