Fox News: Larry King, TV Talk-Show Icon, Dies at 87
EXCERPT:
BILA: "King passed away at a Los Angeles hospital this morning. He was 87 years old. And you know, watching that clip reminds us what a great personality he had. You didn’t always see that in his interviews because a lot of times he would step back and really want the guest to shine. But in a lot of moments, like the exchange you just saw with Sean, he was a funny guy. He himself had a lot to say even though he didn’t put himself front and center on those interviews, like I said, but he did extraordinarily well in television, in radio, and he was incredibly compelling in really captivating an audience. I remember seeing some previews of, oh, this person's going to be interviewed by him, and I'd say I don't want to tune in to that, and I would tune in and say, wow, that was fantastic. I didn't even know who that person was or what they were about, and yet he enabled me to learn so much about them in such a compelling way. He was great at what he did, and we all have a lot to learn from him, for sure."
