Eric Schiffer on Bitcoin: ‘I’m a Big Believer in Digital Currency, It Is Absolutely the Future’

SCHIFFER: “Yeah, it's interesting. First of all, I’m a big believer in digital currency. It's absolutely the future. It's the way to go. Millennials, Gen-Z, it's the way they want to transact business. The problem is distribution. So many businesses don’t really accept it. We’re now seeing now Square and others that are beginning to help that process and I think, you’re right, as it gets more ubiquitous, it become a much harder argument for governments to be able to intervene, and that's going to be the challenge I think for the industry, to be able to manage government’s long arm because this whole concept of a doomsday hedge is defeated if you’re going to have big government regulation to be able to shut it down. It's going to require the free market to fight back.”
