Clay Travis: How Is Spider-Man Allowed To Film in a High School But the Real Kids Can’t Come to School
EXCERPT:
TRAVIS: “And many politicians who are advantaged and elite have their kids in private school. Full disclosure, one of my kids is in private school, two of my kids are in public school. But, I’m a public school kid, I went public school K-12, I believe in public schools because I’m a public school graduate. Atlanta public schools have been shut down since March. The mayor, by the way, has her children in private schools, of course she does, just like the Governor of California, just like all of the elite politicians who claim to care about the average person out there. But they are opening up two different Atlanta area public schools to film the new Spider-Man movie in January. So they are going to be able to film scenes inside of public high schools in Atlanta for the new Spider-Man movie, but they aren’t able to let actual kids go to actual school in those same buildings. How crazy and insane is that? I think parents everywhere should be in an uproar demanding that their schools should be back in session wherever you are across the country. I am fortunate, all three of my kids have been back in school all throughout this semester, in-person learning — I can’t imagine if they were not — one in private school, two in public schools. But think about that for a minute. Atlanta is opening up two public high schools to allow Spider-Man — Spider-Man! — to be filmed inside of those high schools, but they aren’t allowing kids to go to school. It is absolute insanity.”
