Howard Kurtz: Media ‘Absolutely Downplayed’ Violence at ‘Million MAGA March’
‘The media need to do a better job of telling the story and not downplaying it just because it doesn’t fit their preferred narrative’
EXCERPT:
KURTZ: "Yeah, well, who wouldn’t be terrified? The media haven’t exactly ignored the violence and harassment at the MAGA rally here in Washington, but they absolutely downplayed it in ways that would be impossible to imagine if it was mainly Trump supporters beating up liberal protesters. Now, the event itself didn’t get that much attention, thousands of people showed up, far more than expected. The President said it was tens of thousands, but Kayleigh McEnany said it was one million people who turned out, and that claim was so far off the charts that that got more attention than the violence that marred the event."
