Fox Business Reporter Hillary Vaughn Says Recent Riots Have Caused Billions of Dollars in Damage
‘We’re looking at over $1.4 billion’
EXCERPT:
VAUGHN: "We’re looking at over $1.4 billion, Stuart. That’s according to a projection from a national insurance group that says property damage from the George Floyd protests and some of the violence and destruction that ensued from that is on pace to surpass what we saw back in 1992 in the Los Angeles riots, the largest amount of damage to date. But now we’re looking to see that passed completely. But it’s also been isolated to certain cities as well. The Portland police say that property and local businesses there are looking at losses up to $23 million, including the loss of customers that were able to go in and access small businesses and local businesses while the streets were shut down.”
