D.L. Hughley Tells ‘The View’ Nick Cannon Shouldn’t Have Been Fired for Anti-Semitic, Anti-White Comments

‘I think what Nick said was problematic, but I think one of the ways you deal with somebody who says problematic things is make them have to explain what they meant’

EXCERPT:

HUGHLEY: “I think that what Nick said was problematic, but I think one of the ways you deal with somebody who says problematic things is to make them have to explain what they meant. And sometimes holding things up to the light of day, they kind of crumble under truth. When I was a kid, me and somebody would have a fight, and the teacher would make us apologize, but the reasons we fought were still the same. And I think one of the things that has happened. if you have a bunch of Karens who lose their job, eventually you’re going to have a Nick who loses their job, and I think that doesn’t make us a better society, and it doesn’t — it doesn’t take away what they feel.”
