Laura Bassett: Nancy Pelosi Is Driving Trump Insane

BASSETT: "I doubt anything moves before January 6th. And I think Pelosi can delay it indefinitely. I think she can delay it as long as she wants. It’s interesting. She’s putting Trump in a very bad position. She knows it because it’s driving him insane, the idea that the house would impeach him and there would never be a Senate trial to exonerate him. He’s desperate for a Senate trial. And I think Pelosi knows that so she’s holding all the cards right now. And Mcconnell is pretending like, I don’t care if we have a trial or not. This is your thing. And so it’s unclear whether Mcconnell will capitulate to her demands but I think we’ll see Pelosi play hard ball for a little longer. She seems to be toying with them a little bit."
