Halperin: Hillary’s ‘Cavalier Attitude’ Causing Dems to ‘Worry’ About Her ‘Coronation’
HALPERIN: “The other thing inside the Clinton bubble they may not know but if they are watching I will tell them now: the more of this this drip, drip, drip happens on things that are substantive problems in terms of her cavalier attitude towards her e-mails, the more Democrats worry that they are getting themselves into a coronation for a nominee who's got some real questions to answer. Democrats may not be telling the Clintons that directly, but believe me, they are talking amongst themselves about it.”
HEILEMANN: “It is not the first time we have heard it. You recall as well as I do those kinds of murmurs in 2008 that made way for Barack Obama. There is no Barack Obama we both know on the horizon right now. But I have to say I think since the story broke, you started to hear in the councils of the establishment talk like that. It is not good for her and it's not that she cannot overcome it, but it is not good.”
HALPERIN: “Martin O’Malley up in New Hampshire today took a pass. He did not do reenactment of his performance with George Stephanopoulos when asked repeatedly about Hillary Clinton, about the challenge, et cetera. He stayed positive. We will see if he goes back to that other message but that is at least some good news for her that he did not smell blood, at least today.”
