The irony of the only democracy in the Middle East making such a decision is that it is both an insult to democratic values and a chilling response to a visit by government officials from an allied nation.' First, President Donald Trump's tweet saying Israel would show great weakness if they allowed these two congresswomen in, what appeared to be a blatant and direct attempt to tell Israel how to conduct its own foreign policy. And then, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu basically following through on that, a short time after that tweet, announcing that it was official the two would be banned from entering the country."
