Michael Futrell on Doing the Moonwalk: ‘Obviously’ Northam ‘Doesn’t Get It’

‘It’s disappointing for the 500,000 people of color who supported him in his election’

RUSH EXCERPT:

FUTRELL: “Well while I understand it was emotional for him, it’s also emotional for the rest of us who have the to live through this after walking into the shock we found out on Friday morning. I’m once again disappointed. Not really sure why he’s delaying time. Everyone has asked for his resignation at this point and one of the things I’ve been saying, the problem I’m running into here, I know Ralph Northam. I’ve built a great relationship with with him over the years and the statesman I believed him to be. And while so many people were taken back by this picture, the bigger problem we’re running into here was how he has responded. Like he said, his instincts were correct at the beginning. It was me. I was wrong. I’m sorry. The reports said he was quoing to step aside. But then after a night of sleep and bad advisers, all of a sudden un, we’re going to try to fight this thing out and only thing he’s doing is causing more trouble to everyone that is involved here. It’s disappointing for the 500,000 people of color who supported him in his election.”
