TAPPER: “Trump now says he will review the case of a former green beret charged by military court with premeditated murder. Army major Matt Goldstein admitted he killed a bomb maker in 2010 out of fear the bombmaker would retaliate against an Afghan leader. That’s according to army documents obtained by the “Washington Post.” Goldstein and another soldier took the bomb maker off base, killed him, and ultimately burned his corpse in a trash heap. Human rights watch said his actions appear to be a summary execution. Let’s bring in Jim sciutto. The Pentagon says this is a criminal matter. Why is President Trump involving himself in it?”
