CNN’s Sara Murray: ‘Very Early on, Moscow Was Trying To Make in Roads with Donald Trump’s Inner Circle’

MURRAY: “And one thing that stands out about that portion of the special counsel’s memo is that these were contacts happening in or around November of 2015. So it tells you very early on Donald Trump was the front runner at that time, very early on, Moscow was trying to make in roads with Donald Trump’s inner circle and trying to say look how politically expedient it can be to work with us. It also says this person tried to repeatedly set up a meeting between Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin. Again, it says that didn’t come to fruition. But tells you really, really early on in the campaign the Russians were trying to use some kind of leverage to get a name with Donald Trump.”
