Elvira Salazar: Trump’s ‘Branded’ a ‘Racist’ for Trying to End Birthright Citizenship and That’s Not True

‘My parents were benefited by the generous immigration laws that this country has had for 50 years’

EXCERPT:

SALAZAR: "It’s a very hard topic, but unfortunately every time the President or the White House is trying to change the immigration abuses, he has been branded as a racist and that is not true because the previous administrations tried to do the same thing the President is trying to do: bring order to the immigration system, review not only the birthright citizenship, first clause of the 14th Amendment, but also review the 1965 family reunification laws. Clinton tried to do it and they didn't dare. Obama tried to do it, and they were afraid of the liberal media and being branded racist or the international condemnation, but at some point an administration in this country needs to say, 'Stop! Let's review that's happening and let's protect the system and not allow for the Constitution to be abused, which is what is happening right now, or the system being abused."
