Matt Miller: All of the Old Rules of the DoJ, You Have to Throw out the Window Because of Whitaker

‘You have an Acting Attorney General in place who does not seem to commit to rules or Justice officials’

EXCERPT:

MILLER: “However we now have a new Justice Department led by Matt Whitaker who wrote, in 2016 wrote an op-ed for 'USA Today' arguing that Hillary Clinton should be prosecuted, and that if he was a U.S. Attorney she would be -- she should have been indicted. That flies in the face of the unanimous recommendation of career prosecutors that ran that investigation, but it leads you to question, you know, why he is in this job? Is he there because he's been hostile to the Mueller investigation publicly on television, he likely has been so privately in these meetings with the president in the Oval Office that had been reported, and he's been -- he's been open to the idea of prosecuting Hillary Clinton as well. So all of the old rules of the Justice Department, you have sum what at least throw out of the window when you have an acting attorney general in place who we know doesn't, you know, at least seem committed to the same rule of law traditions as most DoJ officials."
