“It’s just a tragedy of Bobby Jindal. That one of the smartest guys in elected office is playing to the cheap seats and putting forward fact-free fear-mongering, and doing so in such a dumb way, bringing his message to Britain. And when they call him and say, ‘Exactly what neighborhood are you talking about,’ he’s got nothing. So it actually is sort of a sad moment for such a smart guy to feel like the best way to try to run for president — or, really, vice president, which is what he’s got his best shot of being — is by being as irresponsible as possible.”
