COUVERTIER: “The answer is absolutely yes. Given the state of affairs, things we’re seeing in the uptick of active shooter situations every year, we have a systemic problem here and it’s basically at an epidemic. It’s going to continue rising, every year it does rise and we see more of these situations. Law enforcement has to be begin more tools and allowed more leeway to identify these individuals and put them in a position where they’re not going hurt anyone.”
